You must submit your code to play in three Sunday Evening (21:00 UTC) Initiation Competition tournaments where our system will play each user's code against each other in rounds. The winning code will progress to the next round and play again until the final two players compete against each other and a winner is declared.
Your position in each tournament will be combnined to determine the overall winner. The winner of a tournament will earn 4 points, 2nd place, 3 points, 3rd place 2 points and 4th place 1 point.
In order to play, you must submit your code file to all three of the tournaments. You will only be awarded points for the tournaments you play in. You do this using the drop down option under the Run button in the Editor as highlighted in the screengrab below.
You can submit your code file to the tournaments at any point over the weekend (we recommend you submit your code file early to make sure your code will definitely play in the tournament. There is an upper limit to the number of entries a tournament will accept). Once you've submitted your code file you can still make changes to it and continue to run games. A copy of the code in the file will be taken when the tournament starts on Sunday Evening and this code will be used throughout the tournament.
